Uninstalling MySQL Database On Linux PDF Print E-mail

MySQL 5.0 can be uninstalled using:


rpm .e
<filename.rpm>


To uninstall MySQL 5.0 all the eight RPMs need to be erased from the HDD using the above command one at a time using the system commands.


The following is the hierarchy of RPMs when erasing them.

1.     MySQL-embedded-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

2.     MySQL-devel-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

3.     MySQL-bench-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

4.     MySQL-client-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

5.     MySQL-shared-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

6.     MySQL-shared-compat-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

7.     MySQL-Max-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm

8.     MySQL-server-5.0.15-0.i386.rpm
