Installation Process  

Once the file, mysql-5.0.15-win32.zip is downloaded to the HDD, do the following to install MySQL on a Windows box:

Unzip the contents from the downloaded file using a zip utility, Winzip is one such.

This will create a folder named mysql-5.0.15-win32. This folder holds the MySQL setup file.

Inside the folder mysql-5.0.15-win32, double click on setup.exe file. This will start the installation wizard.
