Hibernate 3 For Beginners - Covers Java Persistence API

Designed for beginners and intermediate developers, this book teaches Hibernate 3 from the ground up with an aim to get the reader up to speed with Hibernate as quickly as possible. It delves deeply into the core of the Hibernate 3 framework, providing a sound understanding of the components that make up the framework and the way they interact with each other.

This book uses the learning by doing pattern with a lot of ready-to-use examples. This pattern has proven to be best approach for beginners. Most [if not all] of the concepts that you will find in this book are demonstrated using well described and easy to understand examples, yet sophisticated enough to demonstrate Hibernate in a real-world context.

Finally, a web based application is developed to re-enforce all the learning that took place throughout the book. Not only this, the book also teaches porting the same application to another database, switching from Hibernate's native API to Java Persistence API and integrating with Struts2. This will definitely help developers to quickly get started with building real-world Web applications using the Hibernate 3 framework.

Irshad Ali  - Solid footage over fundamentals   |2011
Yesterday i bought your book "Hibernate 3 for Beginners". I must say i
have bought some books already on Hibernate but none of them were teaching the
basics, they were like as if written for already working professionals(Though at
the back they declare we assume no prior knowledge of Hibernate from the
reader).
But your book is teaching the basics which i always look for in a book
as i believe one needs a solid footage over fundamentals no matter how advanced
you want to learn, the books content is highly organized in terms of a
novice/new learners perspective chapter by chapter.

And this time i should
mention the writing style is good as an author and the printing quality is not
that bad. What i can say, i am pretty much excited to finish this book and go
for others in the line. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

For Hibernate 3 for Beginners

Dear authors
You have done excellent job in
making a somewhat complex subject like hibernate quite easy to understand.
The
book has a lucid language and complete code examples with easy to understand
explanation.
I was bogged down by an authoritative book like 'Java persistent
with hibernate'. But your book has helped me to understand the subject and to
speed up learning process
The step by step explanation and hints are very
helpful
Hibernate architecture diagrams are quite helpful.

Great
job

Nilesh
